Hyaluronic acid is part of the composition of our skin and is responsible for its elasticity. As years go by, the production of this element decreases and the first wrinkles appear.
Nowadays, there are several treatments that add hyaluronic acid to the skin, returning the lost fill back, rejuvenating and giving it a younger look.
Restylane is a crystalline gel injected in the skin with the purpose of increasing its volume and recovering the main traits of the face’s structure. Similar to the hyaluronic acid present in our body, because of its non-animal origin, it does not involve the risk of associated allergies and hyper-sensibility of the skin.
Treatment with Restylane doesn’t affect the facial expression and its effects can be seen immediately. Free muscle movements are maintained while the treatment lasts. Dermal filler treatments will restore the appearance of a young looking skin through the substitution of lost tissue volume and by filling deep wrinkles.
The treatment with hyaluronic acid through Restylane injections is performed exclusively by physicians, as only experts can ensure a safe application and effective results. That is why Medical Port partners exclusively with the top healthcare providers in Portugal.
Hospital Lusiadas Lisboa and Hospital Lusiadas Porto are two of the best private hospitals in Portugal, with international accreditation from Joint Commission International. Any esthetic treatment should be supervised by a health professional and with the care of a physician. Medical Port guarantees that during the treatment there is an ongoing care from Hospital Lusiadas that allows for the patient to be certain that will receive the best care and will have the best results.

About Hyaluronic Acid
This ingredient is part of many rejuvenating treatments, and in fact is an element present in the majority of the living creatures, being responsible for the lubrication and hydration of the body because it’s present in the skin matrix.
Hyaluronic acid is a filling facial agent that when is injected into the skin, provides volume, smoothness and hydration. Hyaluronic acid stabilizes the intercellular structures and produces a viscoelastic network for collagen and elastin fibers to join. These networks tend to get lost with time, separating collagen from elastin.
Hyaluronic acid injections reduce effectively the visible signs of volume loss, giving the skin a natural look after the treatment.
The most common areas are:
- the nasolabial folds (between the nose and the mouth);
- between the eyebrows;
- neckline and neck.
The treatment with Restylane can also be performed to increase lip volume.
Results last for a while but are not permanent, a new maintenance treatment maybe necessary 6 to 12 months after the previous application.
The treatment presented is performed by a specialist medical doctor, will be subjected to face-to-face assessment of your condition and confirmation of treatment by an assisting professional, and will be performed in a safe environment.
All aesthetic treatments are customized according to each customer’s needs.
